Simply adorable and easy Spring Place Cards


I enjoy setting a holiday table including making decorator Place Cards. These spring themed place cards are perfect for Easter or any other spring dinner party. This Easter I had an egg them so I wanted to make place cards to match. So easy to make!


Supplies Needed:
12 colored place cards, I used mint green from Paper Source, my go to paper store.
12 mini nest from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store
dried moss from any craft store
12 mini robin eggs from Pottery Barn
hot glue gun

1. Print name on place cards. Paper Source has a templates on line for all your printing needs. I used brown to print on the mint green.

2. Attach a just a few strands of the moss on robin's nest with glue. Put a little more glue on top of moss and attach robin egg. Press and hold for a few seconds to secure.

3. Cut to slits on the top of the place card, the slits should be an inch in from each side. Fold slits down to create a ledge for the robins nest.

4. Cover ledge with glue securing the nest to the top of the place card.


Your done! Simple easy beautiful place cards!

Mangia, Mangia!

I know that I call this Good Dinner Mrs. Mellen and as I’ve been reminded I haven’t shared much dinner. I have been spending most of my time in my gardens, that has been my focus this spring. Mandi's Bridal Shower Tea Party

The Beautiful Bride     When my daughter got engaged I knew that her Bridal Shower would be an elegant Tea Party.  She and I have been going to high tea since she was a little girl continually finding wonderful tea houses to visit during our travels. Living in the Boston are I found the perfect venue in the Soiree Dinning Room at Upstairs on The Square in Harvard Square.  The whimsical gilded designed dinning room looks like Alice just fell through the looking glass! I found my dream location for a fanciful Tea Party. Next I went to work with my daughter-in-law Jackie to make the perfect invitations to compliment the look and feel of the Soiree Dinning Room.  We didn't need to look any further than The Paper Source with Nicole helping us pick out the perfect invitations to make.  Gold polka dot invitations mounted on hot pink paper with a hot pink envelope finished with a sparkly gold liner.  Bright, fun and beautiful!
