Airfyers are so easy to use and cook healthy food quickly without much fat or oil. Since purchasing my Airfyer I've tried so many different recipes; chicken, veggies, all with excellent results. We were out to dinner one night with our family and we ordered roasted cauliflower for an appetizer; it was delicious. I thought cauliflower would be great in an Airfyer -Buffalo style. And I was right! I also adapted this recipe for a conventional oven*   Ingredients 1   head of cauliflower , broken into bite size pieces ¾ cup almond flour ¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons tapioca flour 1 teaspoon chili powder ½ teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon cayenne Salt, to taste 2 eggs Oil, to lightly coat For serving: carrot sticks, celery sticks, Blue cheese dip Buffalo Sauce: ½ cup plus 2 tablespoons hot sauce 2 tablespoons ghee (or butter) 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 clove garlic, minced ½ teaspoon paprika ¼ teaspoon cayenne Salt, to taste Directions 1. Moroccan Cauliflower

Image
Moroccan Cauliflower Roasting vegetables enhances the flavor without losing the nutritional benefits. Cauliflower, basically bland, is the  chameleon  of the vegetable world assuming the flavor and taste of spices pared with during cooking. A perfect companion for creating an array of interesting vegetable dishes. Sausage White Bean Tortellini soup

Image
A hearty soup is a wonderful meal on a wintry day. I make large batches of soups freezing in individual containers to always have different soups ready to eat all winter long. My Sausage White Bean Tortellini Soup is healthy and tasty my favorite combination! I’ve use chicken sausage and vegetable broth to cup down on fat and calories while keeping the soup hearty and flavorful. I also use low sodium vegetable broth adding a small amount of salt to the soup. If you use aromatic root vegetable such as garlic, shallots, and fennel while adding strong spices such as thyme you do not need salt to flavor the soup. Chicken Sausage White Bean Soup 5-6 chicken sausage 2 tablespoons olive oil 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 cup chopped shallots 1/2 cup fennel, chopped 4 cups vegetable  broth, either homemade or store bought.  I use low sodium. 1 15-ounce can white beans, such as cannellini rinsed and drained 1/2 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon dried fr...

Live to 100 Chick Pea Salad

Image
In the book The Blue Zones by Dan Beuttner, Blue Zones are the longest living cultures in the world, one common dietary staple in all the areas is beans, all different kinds of beans. I love to use any kind of bean in my recipes, from soups, chillies, pastas and especially salads. Chickpeas( garbanzo beans ) are one of my favorite to use in my recipes like this Live to 100 Chickpea Salad.  I've added some crunch and sweetness to this salad with pecans and dried cranberries. Nuts also play an important role in Blue Zone cultures! You can like I do use this salad as a base for a more hearty dinner salad combining a protein such as tuna, chicken, tofu just to name a few. If you want to keep the salad vegan you can add more crunchy veggies such as red peppers, carrots, fennel and so many more different colors and textures. Experimenting you can find so many different uses for this basic salad while adding years on your life! Live to 100 Chickpea Salad Ingredients:...
